Bondware Version 4.38

The Bondware team is pleased to announce the release of Bondware 4.38. This release includes additions to the Simple Store feature in the core to easily sell advanced, role-based subscriptions. Also included, are tools for enhanced mobile site viewing, role-based web form access controls and improved form editing experience across all of Bondware. New or existing customers can try these new Bondware features risk-free via our 15-day free trial.

Advanced Subscriptions using Simple Store

This release adds more e-commerce capability into the Bondware core. Specifically, under Admin|Tools|Simple Store (PayPal), customers will notice the ability to setup a simple store on your site using only a basic PayPal account. In addition to simple products and fees, site owners can setup advanced subscription products that grant access to select content areas on your website after purchase.

Enhanced Mobile Design Tools

As discussed in previous newsletters, mobile is the fastest growing way to consume web content. In recognition of this fact, we have added new, easy-to-access mobile design settings in the latest version. Customers will notice under the Admin|Design menu that Mobile is now the most prominent menu item and contains options for enabling mobile detection and designing a mobile front-page.

Expect more mobile design features from Bondware in the coming months.

Role Permissions on Web Forms

The ability to restrict access to web forms based upon role assignment is one of the more frequently requested features for Bondware.

This feature is critical for customers that want to sell advanced site memberships that provide access to additional services. In this case a web form is often the primary method of requesting premium services.

Improved Form Editing

Some of you may have had the experience of completing a form in Bondware and clicking Submit only to have the system come back with a list of input fields that need to be corrected.

This version of Bondware includes a new system for editing forms that attempts to keep the site visitor on the form page and direct their attention to fields that need correction before advancing to the next page.

This has been on our "to do" list for a while and we are happy to deliver it in this version.

Support Ending for IE 8

This release marks the end of official Bondware Support for Microsoft's IE (Internet Explorer browser) version 8. See the article on our website for more details on how this might affect you and your website visitors.
