Bondware Version 4.53

Bondware 4.53 Released

Advanced Admin Permissions - Sites sometimes need more fine-grained control of what a particular admin user can do. A new feature has been added under Admin|Settings|Advanced Site Features titled "Edit Admin Permissions". Using this feature, you can easily deny or allow access to specific admin URLs for a given admin user.

More Content Automation - When adding a news article to our CMS, you can now set the date/time for the article to auto-close. Likewise, you can flag articles as "featured" or "breaking" while setting the date/time for that designation to end. This largely completes our time saving automation tools to post, manage, close, delete or migrate news articles to a different section while you sleep.

Improved News Layout on Writer/Bio Pages - Bondware sites that designate formal writers will notice an improved layout when visiting a writer's bio/credits page. The news articles attributed to the writer is now presented in a standard manner that includes thumbnail images, etc.

Miscellaneous Bug Fixes - This release also includes fixes for social network sharing buttons, consistent saving of article slideshow ordering and time offset issues for running scheduled jobs on cloud servers.

To the Cloud

Over the next year, we will be migrating all customers to our new cloud-based hosting platform. If you have not migrated yet, our customer support staff will be in touch soon to coordinate your site migration. You won't notice many changes to how Bondware works, but you should notice improved site speed and lower bandwidth costs over time. We can also configure larger sites to run across multiple servers that spin-up automatically as demand increases.
