Bondware Directory is an excellent way to generate revenue on your news site. Pre-populate your directory with basic listings that can be claimed and enhanced by the listing owner. Featured listings (with advertising feature), location maps and additional category placements are available as listing enhancements for business. Depending on the site audience/traffic, sites can command up to $100/yr for a premium listing with little staff time involved. Publishers can set up certain categories for free (i.e. "for sale") while others (i.e. "jobs") are paid categories.
Getting Started
Go to Modules>>Bondware Directory
Click Settings in the Top Navigation
We recommend using the Simple Store with PayPal it is free and easy to use. Here is a video on Generating Revenue to familiarize yourself with Simple Store. If you'd prefer a Credit Card Gateway you can add the eCommerce Module for $25/mo. 
Some settings you may find useful are allowing for more additional promo images, allowing a web address and using Amazon S3.
Here you can increase or decrease the size of the images.
Categories, Sub-Categories
Type in a category and click Add Category.
Click +sub category to add a Sub-Category.
Click edit for each sub-category to set permissions and a price override. You can charge a different rate for each listing. 
Listings
Now that you have created Categories and Sub-Categories it is time to start adding listings. Click Listings in the Top Navigation. This will take you to the front end of your site. 
Basic & Enhanced Listings
Basic listings do not expire. You can enhance listings to make them features as an ad, and/ or add a map to the listing.
Navigate to the front end of your site to view the listing you created.
